Osie B. Anderson Jr.

Osie B. Anderson Jr. died on April 29, 2026 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born February 14, 1948 in Gary, Indiana. Osie was a lifelong resident of Gary and graduated from Roosevelt High school in 1966. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam War veteran. Osie retired from U.S. Steel Corporation in Gary after 38 years of service.

Osie is survived by his spouse of 43 years, Sherry Lynn Anderson of Indianapolis, Indiana. Son, Rodney Anderson of Florida. Brother, Ricky Anderson and Sister, Flora Golston both of Gary, Indiana. He also leaves a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Osie was preceded in death by his parents, Osie B. Anderson Sr, and Annie Pearl Anderson. Brothers Eugene Anderson, Terry Anderson, and Derrick Anderson.

Memorial service Thursday May 21, 2026 at 11:00 am. Indiana Funeral Care North 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250. Interment following at Crown Hill National Cemetery Annex, 725 W. 42nd Street, Indianapolis, Indiana.
