Norma Sue Wilhoite, 86, of Westfield, IN passed away July 3, 2024. She was born February 18, 1938 in Science Hill, KY to Wallace and Nancy Godbey. Norma moved to Indiana at the tender age of 15 and "heart adopted" by Basil and Dorotha Conrad of Noblesville, IN.
She was married to John A. Wilhoite on April 17, 1960 and they were married until he passed in 1997. To this union were four daughters, Jonetta (Grant - deceased) Anderson, Angela (Charles - deceased) Strong, Karen (Cleofas) Rodriguez and Rhonda (Charles) Jones. In her lifetime she was a dedicated healthcare specialist and a lifetime member of the First Pentecostal of Noblesville, UPCI. Norma was known as a Sunday School Teacher, Camp Counselor and Cook. Norma was an avid cruiser and loved going on cruises with her cruise buddy/cousin, Leah Ruth Godbey, who preceded her in death. She always loved to sing religious songs to the children she taught in Sunday School. Norma enjoyed her plants and flowers and was a gifted sewer to whoever needed a hole or button fixed. She will be greatly missed by a sister, Janet (Durell) Wildman.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, John A. Wilhoite; sisters, Gladys, Carolyn, and Libby; brothers, Ben, Floyd, Gerstal, and Claude; and parents, Wallace and Nancy Godbey.
Norma is survived by her four daughters; grandchildren, Christopher "Taylor" (Shanda), Levi (Abby), Tharon, Seth, Donavon, Micah (Kiya), Dalton, Miguel, and Jade; great grandchildren, Christopher Taylor Jr. "TayTay", Nayomi "NayNay", Niya, Neesah, and a future great grandson on the way; sister, Janet (Durell); and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
