Nobuko Hogan, born in Kumamoto, Japan on September 24, 1930, departed this life peacefully in Westfield, Indiana on June 18, 2026. Her ninety-five years were a testament to resilience, compassion, and a quiet, steadfast joy that touched all who knew her.

From her earliest days in Kumamoto, Nobuko embraced a life defined by dedication and the strength to forge her own path. She began her career as a dental assistant in Japan—a role that allowed her nurturing spirit to shine even in her youth. Later, she embarked on a remarkable journey that brought her to the United States, where she built a new life and a promising career. Nobuko found her professional home at GM/Delco Electronics, working as an Engineering tool Representative for an impressive 25 years. Her commitment and perseverance left a lasting impression upon her colleagues, and the friendships she formed during these years were woven with respect and mutual admiration.

Nobuko’s love for creativity extended far beyond her work. She was a proud and accomplished artist, whose talent brought her accolades including blue ribbons in arts and crafts at both local and state fairs. These awards were more than mere trophies—they stood as evidence of Nobuko’s ability to find, and to cultivate, beauty in the world around her. She was a cherished member of the Local 292 hobby club, where her passion for craft enriched not only her own life, but also the lives of her many friends there.

Her enduring faith was another foundation of Nobuko’s rich life. She was a devoted member of the First Assembly of God, participating fully in the community she held dear. Her presence at gatherings—always marked by sincere kindness and quiet wisdom—was a source of strength and warmth to all.

Nobuko’s legacy, most vividly, lives on in her cherished family. She is deeply mourned and lovingly remembered by Lisa Cagle, Linda Longfellow, Jason (Kristen) Pickett, and Nora Pickett. Each carries memories of her love, her guidance, and her laughter, which will remain a comfort and an inspiration for years to come.

Nobuko Hogan’s journey spanned continents and decades, marked always by humility, artistry, and deep devotion to those she loved. Her story is one of courage, of quiet achievement, and of the beauty to be found in faith and family. All who were fortunate enough to know her will carry her memory gently in their hearts, grateful for the legacy she leaves behind.
