Nathen Michael Mathews, 41, passed away on Monday June 1st 2026. 

He was born September 29th 1984 in San Diego, California.

Nathen went to school at Full Sail University, graduating with a Bachelors in music production and engineering. 

Music was his passion, whether it be writing, producing, and practicing as much as he possibly could and with anyone he could. 

He loved being in local bands and connecting with people through music.

Nathen lifted spirits with his story-telling, his laughter, and his witty nature. 

Despite the world and the cruel people in it, he always pushed through with a smile on his face.

His wife Sarah, children Owen, Brena, Penelope, Vera, Calin, Amelia, and his granddaughter Skarlet were the light of his life. 

He cherished them down to the very last breath. 

He inspired them to pursue their passions, hone their talents, and to be themselves no matter what. 

He was a lot of things; a partner, a father, a grandfather, a son, a brother, and most of all a friend to everyone.
