Naomi Marie Wilcher

Naomi Marie McConnell Wilcher, age 85, of Lawrence, Indiana, passed away on May 1, 2025 at Community Hospital North, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 27, 1940, in Lawrence, Indiana, Naomi spent her life devoted to her family and community.

Naomi married Robert Homer Wilcher on October 3, 1959. As a military wife, she traveled to various stations, eventually returning to her ancestral home in Lawrence in 1971, where she resided until her passing.

Naomi is survived by her four children: Doug (Liz) Wilcher, Greg (Sheila) Wilcher, Renee (Ralph) Babineau, and Michaele Wilcher; and five grandchildren: Julia Wilcher, Jonathan (Rachael) Wilcher, Will Wilcher, Robert Wilcher and Caleb Babineau.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; parents, Richard and Mildred McConnell; sister, Priscilla Emery; and brother, John McConnell.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th, from 11 a.m. until the memorial service at 1 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care, Harry W. Moore Chapel, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Interment will follow at Old Oaklandon Cemetery, Oaklandon, Indiana.
