Nancy Lou Rich

Nancy Lou Rich, formerly of Liberty, KY passed May 9, 2026, in Franklin, Indiana. She was surrounded by loved ones.

She was born December 15, 1938 in Casey County, Kentucky, to the late Elmer and Thelma Cox Lynn. Throughout her life, she moved between Casey County and towns in and near Indianapolis, Indiana, returning to Casey County in retirement and moving back to Indiana in her final years.

Nancy loved her family and served as a rock for several generations, offering support and wisdom as needed. She was a quick thinker and, like her father, loved finding solutions to challenges. Sometimes the solving was more important than the final outcome. She was never without a project-usually two or three. Her family and friends will cherish the many memories she gave them and the examples she set as a lifelong caregiver.

She is survived by her granddaughter Tabitha (Corey) Riley, grandsons Robert Rich II (Lindsey) and Cody Rich, great-grandchildren Eris and Rowan Thacker, Julia Rich and Ava Breece, daughter in law Cindy Rich, sister in law Myrtle Lynn, Edith Louise Lynn, and Helen Rich. Survivors aso include three nephews, Tim (Kim), Steve (Bridget) and Mike Lynn; five nieces: Karen and Teresa Lynn, Melinda (Laranza) Royster, Cindy Wright and Cassie (Sherra) Lynn, and several great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Joe Rich, sons Robert and Jeff Rich, grandson Chad Rich, brothers Ivy Early "Buddy" Lynn and Clifton Lynn, and four nephews: Ricky, Donnie, Greg and Josh Lynn.

Services will be Friday, May 15, 2026, with visitation 11am-1pm (Eastern Time) followed by the funeral at 1 at the Indiana Funeral Care-Greenwood Chapel, 2433 E Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143
