She also loved antiques, especially primitives. She had a booth at Noblesville Antiques on the Square and another at Second Stories Antiques in McCordsville, and she went to many auctions to source them for resale.
Spending time with her children gave Nancy the most joy. Nancy loved to travel and loved planning vacations for her immediate and extended family. There are too many places to list where she and her family visited. The highlight of all the vacations was Europe in 2000 culminating in seeing the Sistine Chapel in Rome and Pompei.
Nancy is survived by husband Jim, son Benjamin Hartmann of Fishers, daughter Dana Dickey (Spencer) of McCordsville, and her miniature goldendoodle Riley. She is also survived by brother Brent McCormick (Linda) of Livonia, MI and sister Karen Treadwell (nee McCormick) of Fishers. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Nancy was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome around 1990, and then she was diagnosed with end-stage Non-Alcohol Fatty Liver Disease in 2021. PCOS and NAFLD were found to be correlated in recent years, but her liver was never checked by doctors during those 31 intervening years. Nancy’s family pleads with PCOS women to advocate for themselves with their doctors to get a liver scan.
