Muryssa Mittie May Gulley, a bright and vibrant soul, was born on April 16, 2007, and left this world far too soon on January 12, 2026. She graced us for just eighteen years but implored us all to live more fully each day. An artistic spirit and free thinker, Muryssa was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School, class of 2025.

Known as the life of the party, she thrived on making connections with those around her. Muryssa’s big heart and caring nature made her a really good friend to many. She had an insatiable curiosity that drove her to try new things, whether it was experimenting with makeup, diving into the latest video games, or sharing her love of music with others. She had a unique ability to bring people together, often lighting up any space with her infectious laughter and unwavering positivity.

Family was exceptionally important to Muryssa, and she cherished her time spent with her beloved nephews, Leo and Xavier, who brought immeasurable joy into her life. Her warm spirit was mirrored in her fierce love for her cats, particularly Bane, who was always by her side, providing comfort and companionship.

Muryssa is deeply missed by her mother, Melissa (Jimmy B.) Galicia; her siblings, Kierstyn Adams, Josh Gulley, and Robert Gulley; and her cherished grandma Karen Gulley and grandpa John Byrd. The legacy of love continues with her extended family, including her aunts Rachel Morales, Michelle (Mike) Gulley, and uncles Johnny Byrd, Joe Byrd, and Eric Byrd, along with many cousins who all fondly remember her adventurous spirit and the joy she carried into their lives.

Muryssa's memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of those she touched. Although she is no longer with us, her zest for life and capacity to spread happiness will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to know her. As we reflect on her life, we will keep close the laughter, love, and creativity that defined her—a shining light that will never be forgotten.
