Mosiezell Owens

Mosiezell Owens, born July 15, 1952, in Forest, Mississippi, passed away on March 14, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Mosiezell is survived by his loving daughters Sherece Owens, Shalonda Owens, Sharale (Starr) Owens, and Shenice Fultz; grandchildren, Devon (Stacha) Sarver, Jayvon Owens, Johnece Owens, Kevin Skaggs Jr., Rakeem Williams, Maniah Thurman, and Clint Harris Jr; great-grandchildren Devon Sarver Jr., De-Vorah Sarver, and Kaylonie Fisher. He is further survived by his brother John Owens, nephew John Owens Jr. and sister in law, Brenda Owens.

Mosiezell was preceded in death by his father, EJ Owens; his mother, Beulah Owens; and his brother, Charles Owens. 

A visitation to honor Mosiezell’s life will be held on March 28, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care East, located at 1307 Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46219. Following the visitation, a memorial service will take place at the same location from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, offering family, friends, and community members the opportunity to come together to celebrate his enduring legacy. A repass will immediately follow the memorial service.
