Mickey C. Mulry, born April 13, 1958, in Sturgis, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana, following complications after surgery. He was 68 years old.
Mickey’s life was marked deeply by a spirit of gentleness and kindness, remembered by all who knew him as a gentle soul with a singularly funny and quirky personality. His warmth and enduring good humor made every space he entered a brighter place and enriched the lives of those fortunate to share in his journey.
He dedicated 43 years of steadfast service as an Engineer at Wilco, building a remarkable career defined by loyalty, diligence, and unwavering professionalism. Mickey approached every task—and every colleague—with respect and genuine camaraderie, leaving a legacy of excellence and integrity in his chosen field.
Above all, Mickey cherished his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Deborah, and a proud father to his son, Matt, and daughter, Brittany. His love for family extended to his siblings; his sister Kelly Hayes and her husband Joe, his sister Cheryl Temple and her husband Chad, and his brother Jimmy Mulry, all of whom survive him. Mickey will also be lovingly remembered by his father, Jim Mulry, as well as his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne Mulry, whose memory he held close throughout his life.
Mickey’s passions outside of work were many. A black belt in karate, he exemplified discipline and commitment, taking great pride in this accomplishment. He was a true enthusiast of Indiana sports, always cheering for the Colts and enjoying any event that allowed him to support his home teams. Mickey found joy in movies, concerts, and the powerful resonance of music from all genres. He was an avid weightlifter and found both excitement and camaraderie in these pursuits.
Through every season of his life, what truly set Mickey apart was the joy he found in being with his family. He deeply enjoyed their presence, creating treasured memories marked by laughter, affection, and steadfast support. Those who knew Mickey will remember his kindness, his quirks, and above all, the gentle heart with which he approached everyone and everything in his life.
A Memorial Gathering honoring Mickey C. Mulry will be held on August 7, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Church 52, 8220 Brookville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46239. A Memorial Service will follow at the same location from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Friends, colleagues, and loved ones are invited to join in celebrating the life and legacy of a man who touched so many.
Mickey’s presence will be sorely missed, but his memory, loving spirit, and the joy he brought to others will never be forgotten.
