It is with profound sadness and hearts full of love that the family of Michele

Lawson announces her peaceful passing on May 21, 2026, at the age of 48.

Born on August 24, 1977 in Eden, North Carolina, she lived a life full of grace,

warmth, and a love so generous it touched everyone who entered her world.

EARLY LIFE & BACKGROUND

Michele Lawson was born and raised in Eden, North Carolina, the daughter of

Michael Lawson and Katherine Hawkins. From her earliest years she was

known for having the biggest heart and the prettiest smile, and the values

instilled in her then — kindness, strength, and perseverance became the

foundation of everything she would build.

EDUCATION & LIFE'S WORK

Michele attended Indiana University Kokomo and dedicated 20+ years to her

career in being a nurse/ nurse practitioner., where she was remembered for

her nonstop motivation and uplifting spirit. Those she worked alongside knew

her not only for her skill, but for the warmth she brought every single day.

WHO SHE WAS

Michele had a gift for caring for any and everyone, and those who knew her

remember her infectious laugh and badass moments. In her free time she

loved nothing more than spending time with her two children.

HER LEGACY

Michele leaves behind a legacy not measured in titles or accomplishments,

but in the countless lives she touched — the meals cooked with love, the

advice offered without judgment, and the warmth she extended freely to

everyone she met. The things she planted in the hearts of her children will

keep growing long after her, and all who were lucky enough to know her carry

a piece of her still.

She was preceded in death by Michael Lawson, Father. Katherine Hawkins,

Mother. Butch Hawkins, Step Father.

Though the world is quieter without her voice,

her love echoes in the lives of everyone she held dear.

She will be forever be missed, and forever be remembered.
