Michael D. Wood Jr.

Michael D. Wood Jr, 55, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 30, 2026. He was born on January 22, 1971 in Fort Rucker, Alabama to Michael Sr and Sharon Wood. 

Michael enjoyed nature. He enjoyed watching documentaries, but most of all watching paranormal shows with his beloved wife, Deanna. Michael also really liked monkeys, so much that he wanted one as a pet.

He is survived by his wife, Deanna L. Wood; mother, Sharon Wood; children, Michael D. Wood, Corrine Rogier, Zachary Wood, Kyle Hughes, Andrew Hughes, Wyatt Wood, and Natalie Potter; stepchildren, James (Wisper) Hall, Samantha (Ryan) Cartwright, and Jordan (Kimora) Hall; siblings, Todd Wood and Kim (Doug) Castillo; as well as his grandchildren and many other family members.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael Wood Sr. and his daughter, Mary Wood. 

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 28th from 4 to 8 p.m. at City Center Park, 415 Lincoln Street, Greenwood, IN.
