Michael Ray Simpson, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Michael was born to Kenneth Ray Simpson and Bonnie Joan Simpson (Rader) on November 4, 1954, in Bloomington, Indiana.
Michael was a dedicated Boy Scouts and achieved the most prestigious ranking of Eagle Scout. Michael always said he started going to church at two days old. He was dedicated at Ellettsville Assembly of God at an early age. Later, he was very active in the Free Methodist Church. Michael graduated from Bedford High School and later received an Associate’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan.
When Michael moved to Indianapolis, he attended Calvery Temple AG Church for 30 years. This is where he met his wife, Jackie, who he married on May 21, 1993. He enjoyed doing sign language interpretation of services at the church. He spent 24 years of service in public school system where he was a skilled sign language interpreter with Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and worked with special needs and life skilled students. Michael was so gifted and loved the kids and they loved him.
Michael is preceded in death by brother, Bradley; his parents and paternal and maternal grandparents.
Michael is survived by his wife; Jackie Simpson, Mother Phyllis Simpson (Bedford), siblings; Sheryl Rader (Bloomington), Troy Simpson (Bedford), and Kenny Allen Simpson (Bedford). He will be dearly missed by his fur-babies; Rosie, Rio, Mylo, and Macy.
Michael was a wonderful and giving person, but most of all he loved the Lord. Michael will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
