Michael Leon Morton

Michael Leon Morton, 66, passed away on October 12th, 2022. 

He is survived by his three children, Jason Morton, Jesse Morton, and Niki Morton Smith; his sister, Angela McKenna; his grandchildren, Derek Morton, Brittany Purcell, Brookley Morton, Breale Morton, Madeline Smith, Olivia Smith, Mason Morton, and four Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Melva Jean Morton; his sister, Leondra Morton Riedling; and his brothers, Donald Morton and Robert Morton. 

Michael worked hard from the time he was a young boy. He spent 25 years of his life as a roofer. Then he changed careers to an amazing Paver Operator for the last 25 years of his life. He spent his days working long hours, playing pool, enjoying live music and beer with friends. He loved watching NASCAR and football games with friends. He wasn't always easy to handle, but everyone loved him still. He would give you the shirt off his back and his last dollar if you needed it. There wasn't a soul he didn't like. He left this world longing to be with his lifelong partner in crime, his wife of 40 years, Melva Morton.
