Michael Lee Thornburg

Michael L Thornburg, 72, of Indianapolis born May 14,1949 in New Castle, Indiana passed away March 12, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was a LCpl of the Unites States Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. and retired from local Labor Union #120. Mike enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Survived by wife of 48 years Christina; son, Durke (Laura); daughter, Lacey (Gustavo); grandchildren, William ,Brooklyn, Zachary, Alexis ,Edward and Julia; great granddaughter, Isabel and a great grandson on the way; brothers, Roger, James (Diane); sister, Tina; several nieces and nephews and countless family and friends. He is proceeded in death by his loving parents, Mitchell and Dolores Durke.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 20th at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road, with a gathering from 3 to 8 p.m. at the American Legion, Post# 34, on E 54th St. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Legion Post# 34 in Memory of Michael Thornburg.
