Michael Anthony Kelly

Michael Anthony Kelly was born on March 28, 1961, in Gary Indiana to Vivian and James Kelly, and was called to his Heavenly Home on Monday, November 27, 2023. He attended and graduated from Emerson High School class of 1981. Michael loved the game of basketball, he often reminded everyone he was known for his famous finger roll. He also enjoyed playing dominos and Biz-wiz. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Vivian and James, daughter Vivian Clark, and brothers Robert Kelly and Marvin Rea. Michael leaves to cherish his memory; his wife Gail Kelly, Mama Lorraine; 8 children Jeremy, Tewon, Terrell, Jamal (Errelle), Martin, Dionne, Raven, and Gail Lynn. 10 grandchildren Jai’Rae, Amari, Aleria, Jada, Brooklyn, Ky’Aire, Carter, LaTasha, Wale, and Najae. Four sisters Eleanor (Michael), Sheryl, Everlena (Patrick), and Lynniece (James); two brothers Charles (Patricia) and Frederick; Best Friend Jerome Ezell and a host of nieces, nephews, and family friends.

Michael loved his friends and family and made sure he let everyone around him know how much they meant to him. In the words of Michael, “One for me, one for you, and one for everybody.”
