Our beloved father Michael Cree left his earthly bonds to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on June 22nd 2026 at the age of 78. Michael was born in South Bend, Indiana on June 30th 1947 to Danny and Katherine (Kay) Cree.
He joined the Navy after high school and was deployed to Vietnam. After 4 tours in Vietnam he left the Navy and joined the National Guard where he retired with full honors after 26 years. Michael had a generous heart, helping others even at his own expense. He did volunteer work throughout his life and worked at Habitat for Humanity in his older years.
He was a light-hearted soul who was loved by all who knew him. His sense of humor and boyish grin were a staple in our lives. He provided not just the essentials for his family but went above and beyond to create lasting memories. He was a loving husband, father and friend. Michael is survived by his beloved wife and childhood sweetheart Rebecca 'Becky' Cree.
He is survived by brothers, children and grandchildren who loved him dearly, Patrick Cree (Brother), Craig Cree (Brother), Kelly Cree (Brother), Sean Cree (Son) and Kimberly Nichols-Cree who brought forth Justin (Grandson) and Karalyn Cree, Alexandria Cree (Granddaughter) and Savanna Cree (Granddaughter), Tim (Son) and Fawna Cree, James (Son) and Elizabeth Cree who brought forth Vera Cree (Granddaughter), Deborah Cree (Granddaughter) and Esther Cree (Granddaughter), Erin Cree (Daughter) and Ralph Gonterman who brought forth Benjamin Gonterman (Grandson), Joseph Quirk (Son) who brought forth Ann Quirk (Granddaughter) and Reese Woodruff (Daughter) who brought forth Daniel Woodruff (Grandson) and Savannah Woodruff(Granddaughter).
