On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Michael Dwayne Cade peacefully entered eternal rest at the age of 75. While his family and friends grieve his passing, they also celebrate a life filled with faith, service, mentorship, family, friendship, and love.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Linda R. Cade; his children, Gregory D. Cade and Paula D. Glover; his grandchildren, Gregory D. Cade Jr., Trevon Cade, Lydia R. Glover, and James M. Quarles; his beloved bonus mother, Mildred Baker; his siblings, Regina Williams, Virgil Bradley (Darlene), Savannah, Georgia, Glenn Bradley, Frankie Walker, Lana Miles, Connie Terry, and William Turner; sister in law, Ruth Maria Bryant, Lonoke, Arkansas; his aunts Delores Furman, Sharon Cade, Jacqueline Cohen, Angela Prescott (Solomon), Savannah, Georgia, Carolyn Allen, and Marilyn Safford; his uncle Robert Cade; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, church family, friends, and the many young people whose lives were touched by his mentorship, encouragement, and example.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey B. Cade and William Baker; his grandmother, Roxie Cade; his brother, Aubrey Cade; his uncle Arnold Cade; his aunts, Charlotte Cade and Hortense Appleton; and his grandson Kasean Cade.

A celebration of Michael’s life will take place on Friday, June 26th at Mt. Carmel Church, located at 9610 E. 42nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46235. The gathering will begin at 9 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. Family, friends, and all who knew Michael are invited to come together to honor his remarkable life and legacy.
