Melinda Jean Dwyer Ball, 72 of Brownsburg, IN, passed in her home on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 due to complications of lung cancer.
Melinda was born in Greenville Ohio, and raised in Brookston Indiana with her two older siblings. She graduated from Brookston High School and attended Ball State University. It was while at Ball State that she met and married her husband of 39 years, Randall G. Ball. She retired from the IU School of Dentistry.
She is survived by her children: Randall W. Ball and Jennifer F. Ball Sosbe; grandchildren, Randall J. Ball and Rae A. Ball; beloved dog, Morgan; nieces, Cheryl Staley Tidwell, Teresa Staley Allen; and nephew, Paul E Staley.
Melinda was preceded in death by her parents, Robert A. and Jennie J. (Stellingwerf) Dwyer, siblings Cindy (Dwyer) Staley and Steven Dwyer, and nephew, Robert ‘Bobby’ A. Staley.
The celebration of Melinda’s life will be held on Sunday, February 23, at the Whiskey Bent Bar & Grill, 5250 East Highway 36, Avon Indiana 46123.
In lieu of flowers a charitable donation can be made to either American Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Association.
