Max "Dennis" Zweck

Max “Dennis” Zweck, 57, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 21, 2026, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on November 18, 1968, in Indianapolis, to the late Max Dennis Zweck, Sr. and Darlene Wells McRee.

After completing his education, Dennis worked for much of his life. On February 14, 2020, he married his wife and best friend, Sheila K. Peterson, and together they shared 8 years by each other’s sides, raising their family and watching their children grow.

Dennis had many joys in life. He was an outdoorsman, who preferred to spend much of his free time outside in nature. He loved camping, fishing, and looked forward to each deer season, when he could go hunting. He also loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, and had many memories shared out riding with friends. However, his greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his family and friends, who will all miss him very much.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Sheila K. Peterson; sons, Brian Larson-Zweck and Max Zweck; stepdaughter, Christina (Vaughn) Lugar; grandchildren, Makhi Lugar, Maddux Lugar, Kingston Cardenas as well as four other grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Max Zweck; mother Darlene Wells McRee; brother Mike Zweck; sister Michelle Zweck.

Services for Dennis will be held Monday, August 31, 2026, at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46250. Friends and family are welcome to gather for a public visitation from 11:00am – 2:00pm at the funeral home. Funeral services to follow visitation at 2:00pm. Dennis will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis, IN. Celebration of life will be held at The Sports Page Louge after the burial.
