Dianne Kafka

    Mary Dianne Kafka (Dianne), 77 of Indianapolis passed away in her home on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023. She was born on March 13, 1946 to Frances S. and Earl W. Courtney in New Castle, Indiana. She wore many hats in that she was very active with the Indianapolis Folk Music and Dulcimer Society as well as the Cricket Creek Players. She was a member of Pythian Sisters and a Job’s Daughter’s mom. She also enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and friends, cheering on her favorite sports teams and being a loving dog mom. She was not only a mother, but a best friend and rock to her daughter, Fran. She gained even more “kids” as the years went on through her hobbies and experiences, and was always there with encouraging smiles and hugs.

     Dianne is survived by her daughter Frances Rose Kafka and sister Joanne Derrickson. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Jane.
