Mary K. Davis  Nelson DuChemin, 94 years young, went to heaven on June 5, 2023. She lived in Fishers with her daughter Nancy Woods. Mary was born on November 12,1928 in Indianapolis, IN. 

Mary had three brothers, Paul, Jim, and Charlie who have all passed away, and one sister, Betty Jane Garner, who is living in Wyoming. Mary had 4 children with her first husband, the late H. Oakley Nelson. She later met and married the love of her life, John DuChemin to whom she became a widow. That union added two step children.

Mary is a member of the Church of God. She was a dedicated faithful Christian. She loved her bible study groups. She loved going camping and being outside. She enjoyed cooking for her family. She was an adamant bowler. She was also a very giving person who was always helping people. Mary was a kind, loyal, loving sweet soul.

Mary left to cherish her memory, one son, Jerry Nelson; daughter, Nancy Jane Woods; two step children Joyce and Bob; four grandchildren, Brandy Jane Fox, Sabrina Nikoloff, Erica Roland, Josh Nelson, and eleven great grandchildren, Logan, Thadius, Temprence, Hailie, Christopher, Serenity, Alice, Jay, Ella, Riley & Blake. 

Mary,s oldest daughter, Mary Ann and youngest son, David Oakley have passed.  

 

In Lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks for contributions to be made to Church at the Crossing. Celebration of Life will be July 8,2023@ 1pm. Address of the Church is 9111 Haverstick Road Indianapolis, IN 46240.
