Granny Sue loved her family passionately, and helped create treasured memories at her home in West Newton, at her second home in Florida, and during camping trips at the lake. She had a green thumb, especially with orchids, and she enjoyed reading, playing cards, quilting and sewing. She really enjoyed a delicious meal too, as long as she wasn’t cooking! She had a wonderful, quirky sense of humor which has been passed down. She took great comfort in her Roman Catholic faith and was ready for her new home in Heaven. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Her ashes will be placed beside her husband at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wheeler Mission, 205 E. New York St., Indianapolis, IN 46204,wheelermission.org, or St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT 59004, stlabre.org
