Mary Lois Bargo, 91, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026.

Born on April 12, 1935, Mary lived a life defined by love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, loving mother, proud grandmother, and a treasured friend whose greatest joy was caring for those she loved. Her warm heart, gentle spirit, and selfless nature left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Mary enjoyed spending time with family, making lifelong friendships, and staying active in her community. She was a proud member of the Lynhurst Baptist Church, Red Hat Society, Smyrna Shrine Guild, Drill Team, the Indy Ives and retired from Ford Motor company where she worked for many years. She found joy in laughter, fellowship, and creating cherished memories with those around her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Rosie Mae and Paul Davis; her brother, Lonnie Davis; and her beloved sons, Paul Bargo and Donald Bargo.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Loren Hopkins; her many grandchildren Brent (Rachel) Hopkins, Shauna (Andy) Sedam, Crissy (Dallas) Waggoner, Taryn (Zach) Henson, Sherree Bargo, several great-grandchildren, and one cherished great-great-granddaughter.

Mary’s greatest legacy is the love she shared. She will be remembered for her welcoming smile, compassionate heart, and the unwavering dedication she showed to her family throughout her life. Though she will be deeply missed, the love, strength, and kindness she shared will live on in all who were blessed to know her.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Indiana Funeral Care West. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time. She will be laid to rest at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville following the service.
