Mary Alice (Bailey) Martin

August 21, 1949 – September 14, 2021

Mary Alice (Mary) Martin passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana. She passed surrounded by loved ones.
Mary was born Sunday, August 21, 1949 to the late Robert and Ruth (Oholorogg) Bailey in Indianapolis.
Mary graduated from Chartrand High School (now Roncalli) in 1968. Mary had several jobs after her graduation. She enjoyed being employed at Wm. H. Block Company and several local restaurants. She liked serving people and talking with them.
Mary loved to crochet and other crafts. She spent many hours watching her favorite movies on TV.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Earl Martin. Their only daughter Rebecca (Martin) Gross preceded her mother in death on February 10, 2020.
Mary is survived by her grandsons, Steve Honeycutt, Jr. and John Lee and her seven great grandchildren: Hunter, Gunner, Nivara, Maire, Steve 3rd, Destinie. There is a new baby that will be here soon. Mary is also survived by her sister, Sara (Larry) Browning and brother Sanford (Laurie) Bailey. There are many nieces and nephews that fondly remember her.
The family would like to thank Jennifer Toller for her assistance with Mary. They appreciate the care provided in Mary’s final days.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 10:00a.m. at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel 2433 East Main Street. Friends and family may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service.
