Martin Alois Strnat, 63, passed away Friday, March 6, at Community North Hospital.
He was born to Karl and Marianne Strnat from Austria, who preceded him in death.
Martin is survived by his beloved wife, Connie; his stepchildren, Elizabeth Green (Jon), Michael Collins (Katie), and Levi Collins; and his cherished grandchildren, Will, Sean, Claire, Ben, Caroline, Sadie, and Harley. He is also survived by his siblings, Reinhold Strnat (Meg), Evelyn Holland (Dewey), and Christina Conway (Bryant), as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Martin earned a Master’s degree in biology from the University of Dayton in 1986. He went on to enjoy a successful and fulfilling career, spending the majority of his professional life with Eli Lilly. Prior to his retirement, he also served as a Project Manager.
Martin had a wide range of interests, including woodworking, carving, wood burning, and various arts and crafts. He was an avid reader with a deep love of history and science, and he continued to learn and expand his knowledge throughout his life.
He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hosting barbecues, playing games, and making lasting memories with his grandchildren.
Martin was a kind, caring, and supportive man who was greatly loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
