Martin Leroy Stephenson, 66 - Anderson, IN

Born August 26, 1959 to Louise and Walter "Roy" Stephenson in Marion Indiana, died after an extremely hard fought battle with prostate & urethral cancer on Monday February 2, 2026 at home surrounded by family.

Marty was a graduate of Madison Grant High School, Fairmount and Hinds Trade School, Elwood in 1977. He was a toolmaker by trade and retired from Perfecto Machine after 23 years in 2022.

He was a devoted husband, father, friend, a ham radio operator, first responder, Bob Seger groupie, youth coach, avid sports watcher and licensed official, fisherman, life long learner and teacher, jack of all trades and most importantly his grandkid's biggest cheerleader.

What made him most proud were:

His marriage of 47 years to Christy Sheedy, Anderson;

his 3 children Elizabeth (Seth) Hollingsworth, Fairmount, Matthew (Katharine) Stephenson, Greensburg, Stacy (Jason) Johnson, Muncie;

his most cherished people: his grandkids; Riley Inglis, Blake Stephenson, Colton Inglis, Jonas Hollingsworth, Lillian "little girl" Hollingsworth, Carter Stephenson, Josie Mae "little squirrel" Curtis, Lyla "other little girl" Hollingsworth & Lucy "littlest girl" Hollingsworth.

Special grands who recently joined the crew: Danielle, Isaac, Cameron, Andrew, Abby & Zoey Johnson , Jack & Joanne Bryan
