Martha Marie Tincher

Martha Marie (Montgomery) Tincher, 85, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away September 17, 2026 at 6:38 pm.

She was born May 10, 1941 in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee to the late Homer and Lorell Montgomery.

Martha was a beloved grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and cherished member of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Tincher and children, Martenna, David and Teresa.

Martha leaves behind six grandchildren; Richard, Derek, Miranda, David, Marissa, Felicia and Gerald, as well as her great-grandchildren; Emma, Richard, Mason, Tyler, Dayton, Trystan, Dominic, Mira, Brantley, Brody, Oakley, Dallas, Gabby, Paisley and Cassie; and her siblings, Patty Montgomery, Ricky Montgomery and Donald Montgomery.

Martha was a true firecracker—spirited, strong, and full of personality. Family meant so much to her, and some of the memories that will be treasured most are the holidays she hosted in her home, bringing everyone together around one table and under one roof.

Her faith was also an important part of who she was. Martha believed deeply in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and carried that faith throughout her life.

Her family will remember her not only for the life she lived, but for the family she helped bring together, the memories she created, and the legacy she leaves behind through the generations who came after her.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel, 2433 E. Main Street, Greenwood, IN 46143 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm followed by burial immediately after service at New Crown Cemetery in Indianapolis.
