Martha A. Gran

Martha (Marty) Ann Branaman Gran, age 85, passed on December 27 surrounded by her loving husband, Keith, and their family. Born in Salem, Indiana, to Martha Smith Branaman and William Clarence Branaman, and sister of David (Elaine) Branaman, Marty lived and raised her family in Indianapolis. A graduate of Indiana University, where she met Keith, and proud member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority, Marty was a teacher then homemaker who later was also employed by schools, a church, and a company. Most of all, Marty was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family and celebrated their time together. Marty and Keith faithfully served Allisonville Christian Church, a community where they raised their children and enjoyed deep friendships. Marty and Keith were fond of traveling, especially to family reunions. Marty remained close to extended family, Salem friends, college friends, and friends Keith and she made in Indianapolis and on their travels. Marty is survived by her husband, Keith, her daughters Theresa (David) Hunt and Susan (Rich) Michal, and son Brian (Mary Beth McCormack) Gran, grandchildren Lily (Sam Blankemeier) Michal, Isabelle (Noah Caracoglia) Michal, Sophie Michal, Alexandria Hunt, Elijah Hunt, Søren Gran, and Elsa Gran. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm, then the funeral service will start at 2 pm on Friday, January 6, at Allisonville Christian Church, 7701 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis.
