Martha Jean Fry

Martha J Fry passed away at home Wednesday night May 28, 2025. She was born January 3, 1941, to Elmer & Elsie Smith in Anderson, Indiana.

She graduated from Markleville High School in Indiana. She was a member of the Sigma Beta Sorority for over 50 years. She always found a way to help anyone in need.

She had various jobs and then she had her own cleaning business and opened her own flower shop in Greenfield called Michael Renea’s.

She married the love of her life Donald Fry on January 15, 1961. They were married for 55 years until his passing on September 11, 2016.

She was a member of Willow Branch United Methodist Church up until her health wouldn’t allow her to attend in person.

Martha had a heart of gold and would always do anything for anyone. Everyone loved her.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Sherry) Fry of Greenfield, Grandson, Logan (Mae) Fry of Greenfield, Granddaughter, Kristina (Parker) Pryor of Noblesville, Great grandkids Willow & Klaus of Greenfield and Carter & Hailey of Noblesville, sister, Grace Ebbert of Carthage, Sisters-in-law, Ellen Smith & Connie Smith, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins and very close friends she holds close in her heart. Martha also leave behind her four legged companions, Casey, Paige and Bella. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald, Daughter, Dawn Fry, Sister, Hazel Smith, and Brothers, Bob and Homer Smith.

We would like to thank our hospice nurse Tabitha, of Suburban Hospice of Hancock County, she was there for us every step of the way and she showed so much love to all of us.

At this time there will not be a service
