Marsha Hughett

Marsha Elaine (Reed) Hughett passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023. A resident of Brown County, she was 71.

She was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 14, 1952, daughter of Grant Reed and Geneva Wombles. She married Jack Hughett on July 22, 1972, in Indianapolis. She worked as an executive secretary at Indianapolis Public Schools for 37 years. She loved softball and all animals, saving hundreds throughout her life. She passed on her love of helping animals to her son and daughter-in-law.

Marsha is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jack Hughett of Brown County; son, Joshua (Courtney) Hughett of Loogootee; and grandsons, Wyatt Hughett of Loogootee and Alex Hughett of California.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Grant Reed III.

Marsha chose to be cremated. Arrangements have been entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel. No service is planned.
