Marni Lynn Green (1983–2024)

Marni Lynn Green, 40, of Indianapolis, IN died at Community Hospital North on January 15, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis to Jan Syphers and Richard S. Green at Methodist Hospital on January 18, 1983. Marni attended Lawrence North High School where she graduated 2001. She continued her education at Aurora University where she also continued to play basketball.

Marni returned to Indianapolis and worked in several restaurants where she enjoyed being part of a team and making new friends of the clients.  She loved sports, especially the Colts.  She also loved being outside and the beach.  Especially did she love time with friends, laughing, sharing memories, and making new ones.  Among her most precious friends were her dogs Zeus and Athena.

As a young girl Marni loved watching her big brothers play ball and attending Methodist church camps each summer.

Marni is preceded in death by her father Richard S. Green of Indianapolis, her grandparents Dick and Harriett Green of Indianapolis and Milo and Harriett Josefek of Anderson.

Marni is survived by her mother Jan Syphers and stepfather Dave Syphers, brother Paul M. Green (Caryn), brother Steve C. Green (Becca).  She leaves behind four wonderful nephews Jake, Noah, Matthew, and Beau and many other loving family members.  She also leaves her very special friend Willie Archey.

Donations to the Indianapolis Humane Society or the American Heart Association would be very welcome.

Visitation will occur at Indiana Funeral Care 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN on Tuesday, January 23 from 11-2, with a service beginning at 1:00 PM.
