Mark Alfred Vawter, 65, passed away on May 5th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, pride, and service.
Mark cared deeply for his family and was incredibly proud of their accomplishments, always putting them at the center of his life. His unwavering dedication and quiet strength were felt by all who knew him.
At the age of 31, Mark joined the Indiana National Guard as an infantryman, answering the call to serve his country with honor and humility. His commitment to discipline and duty reflected the values he held close throughout his life.
A proud graduate of Purdue University, Mark earned his degree in Electrical Engineering and went on to pursue a career marked by intellect, precision, and innovation.
He will be remembered for his deep sense of responsibility, sharp mind, and the steadfast support he gave to those he loved.
Mark is survived by his mother, Rosalie Vawter; his brother, Michael Vawter; his sister, Cheryl Vawter; his son, Alan Vawter; and his beloved grandchildren, Jasmine Vawter and Dante Vawter.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Indiana Funeral Care, Greenwood Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to help with expenses are deeply appreciated.
