Mark Alan Palmer

Mark Alan Palmer, born on July 25, 1956, in Terre Haute, Indiana to Bobbie and Peggy Palmer, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025.

Mark's life journey was marked by a dedication to his work and a passion for various trades. He held numerous opportunities throughout his career, including being a certified forklift operator, driving a tow truck, working in transportation for Methodist Hospital and he worked in production at the Chrysler foundry of Indianapolis.

A proud graduate of high school in 1974, Mark fostered a love for sports that reflected his energetic spirit. He was an enthusiastic fan of basketball, football, and baseball, and devotedly followed events like the Indy 500 and NASCAR races. Fishing was another cherished pastime, providing him joy and tranquility during his leisure time.

Mark took particular pride in witnessing his son Robbie play football at Marion University, celebrating Robbie's achievement as the MVP defensive player in the championship game.

Mark is survived by his sons, Robert Palmer of Indianapolis and Zachary Palmer of Eugene, Oregon; his sisters, Marsha McGregor-Denning of Martinsville and Anna Whited of Rockville; and his brother, Robert Palmer of Indianapolis.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, Bobbie Gene Palmer; his mother, Peggy Lou (Hill) Palmer; and several siblings, including an older brother, an older sister, a younger brother, and his oldest son; Andrew Palmer.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, located at 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143, on December 30, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by the funeral service from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.

Mark Alan Palmer will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his numerous work endeavors, and his love for sports and the outdoors. He will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege to know him.
