In Loving Memory of Mark Alan Deno

Mark Alan Deno, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grampy, and respected colleague, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was 60 years old.

Born on September 5, 1963, in Lafayette, Indiana, Mark's life was one of dedication, passion, and unwavering spirit for those closest to him. He was the son of Herbert and Marilyn, who instilled in him strong values that guided him throughout his life.

Mark graduated from Purdue University in 1984. During his time at Purdue Mark met many lifelong friends as a member of Zeta Psi Fraternity. After his time at Purdue, Mark dedicated over 25 years to being a Controller for Adesa, where his diligence, expertise, and leadership earned him the admiration and respect of colleagues and peers alike.

Outside of work, Mark had a deep love for fishing, finding joy and energy on the water. He cast his line along the Wildcat Creek as a child and fished in Colorado and Canada as an adult. A passionate supporter of Purdue sports, Mark cheered on his beloved Boilermakers with unwavering loyalty. Mark also enjoyed racing, he was a runner who completed several marathons, longtime Formula 1 fan, and began owning shares in thoroughbred racehorses most recently.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Jamie; daughters, Mary (Andrew) Borgerding and Molly (Brandon) DiCicco; grandson, Lee David DiCicco; mother, Marilyn Deno and beloved dog, Mackey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Deno.

Though Mark's physical presence may no longer grace this earth, his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. A celebration of Mark’s legacy will be hosted by his family in April with details to follow.
