Marjorie E. Defibaugh (76) passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, in McCordsville, Indiana. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother, and a dear friend to many special people. Born on March 20, 1950, in Hollansburg, OH to Harold L. Defibaugh and Dorothy E. Defibaugh (Rhoades).

Marjorie was a school bus driver for several years in New Madison, OH and Panama City, FL. She moved on to work for Avis Car Rental in Panama City, FL, Fort Myers, FL, Honolulu, HI, and Indianapolis, IN.

Marjorie was an active and devoted member of a local nondenominational church in McCordsville, IN. She enjoyed painting, baking, gardening, and loved to shop. Marjorie enjoyed traveling with her dear friend to many destinations such as Hawaii and Alaska and hiking on the Appalachian Trail with her sister.

She is survived by her daughters, Kristy McCall (Rick) and Heidi Chestnut; grandchildren, Kendra Forehand, Kenny Barfield(Allison), Kaleb Eanes, Kheely Armstrong(Josh), and Dusti Chestnut; several great grandchildren; sisters, Connie Miller and Mickie Brim (Duane), and several nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her father, Harold L. Defibaugh; mother, Dorothy E. Defibaugh (Rhoades); and her brother, Lloyd Defibaugh.

Marjorie had a loving, adventurous spirit and always added a little extra spice to the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed.

Marjorie's family would like to thank the staff at Traditions Brookside and Dignity & Hope Hospice for their compassionate and loving care.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marjorie's memory may be made to Hancock County Senior Services, Greenfield, IN.

Funeral services will be held privately by family and close friends.
