Marilyn Camp, 94, of Carmel, IN, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026. 

Originally from Danville, IL before living in both Lafayette, IN and Carmel, IN, Marilyn served many years as a successful surgical nursing instructor and chief nurse, with the culmination of her career being the opening of the long term care unit at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. 

She was passionate about serving others and the medical field. 

After retiring from nursing to help raise her granddaughter, Katie, Marilyn worked closely with her husband, Bob, in their custom home business, Homes of Distinction. 

Marilyn was a fiercely loving, protective, and devoted mother to her daughter, Cheryl. 

She loved her family deeply and kept close track of her nieces, nephews, brother, cousins, and friends. 

Marilyn loved a good kitchen gadget and hamburger from Steak and Shake. 

Her sense of humor was untouchable. 

Her legacy and devotion to others will live on through her family. 

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Cheryl, granddaughter, Katie (Joel), honorary children Nick and Cathy, and niece, Carla (Doug).
