Margie Ewing

Margie Jo Ewing, 68, was called to her heavenly home on September 20th, 2023 after a valiant battle with a long illness. Margie was born on January 18th, 1955 in Beech Grove, Indiana. On May 10th, 1975, Margie married the love of her life, Marty Ewing, her best friend and tireless caregiver. They had 50 great years together, married for 48. They enjoyed their home, each other, their family, TV, movies, and Christian evangelical programs. Margie was extremely outspoken about her faith and the power of prayer which sustained her during her illness.

Margie is survived by her loving husband, Marty Ewing; her sisters, Sherrie Wilson and Sandi Hammer; mother-in-law, Leila Ewing; sisters-in-law, Kathy Jackson and Debbie Ewing; brother-in-law, Steve Ewing; and nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, Steven Ewing, Noah Ewing, Henry Ewing, Robbie Hammer, Brandi Summer, Hope Poole, Victoria Isabelle Poole, Jamie Wilson, and Matthew Byrd.

Margie was predeceased by her parents, Harry Jo and Margaret Forrester; brother, Brandon Forrester; sister, Penny Forrester; father-in-law, Preston Ewing; sister-in-law, Rebecca Ewing; and brother-in-law, Ron Jackson.

A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Thursday, September 28th at Washington Park East.
