Marcia Ann Gatlin; October 14, 1928 – May 5, 2025
Marcia Ann Gatlin, 96, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025. Born on October 14, 1928, Marcia lived a life marked by kindness, faith, and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Gatlin, and her children, Brian and Lisa. Marcia is survived by her devoted sister, as well as one niece, three nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom were deeply touched by her warmth and unwavering love.
Marcia was a talented bookkeeper and transcriptionist, dedicating many years to the insurance industry. Outside of work, she was known for her culinary skills, especially her home-cooked meals that brought family and friends together. A voracious reader and avid sports fan, Marcia cheered faithfully for the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, and the Indianapolis Colts.
Her spiritual life was deeply important to her, and she was an active and devoted member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Carmel. Marcia's welcoming spirit and gracious nature made her beloved by all who knew her.
A Graveside Service for Marcia will be held on Friday May 23rd at 11am at Union Chapel Cemetery, 8301 Union Chapel Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Church of Christ, Scientist, 11580 Haverstick Road, Carmel, IN 46033.
