Lynda Gayle Womack
INDIANAPOLIS – Mrs. Lynda Gayle Womack passed away on December 14, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on April 4, 1948, in Lubbock, Texas, she was the daughter of Ocie Mason and Maxine Dishman (Joseph Dishman).
Lynda dedicated her life to serving others with deep compassion and an unwavering commitment that left a meaningful imprint on countless lives.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Michael Womack; daughters Kristi Black, Robin Orscheln, Shelly King, and Tammy Pahl; brothers Bill Mason and Sonny Scoggins; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Lynda found joy in the simple pleasures of life—fishing on quiet mornings, getting lost in a good book, and spending cherished time with family and friends. Her passion for caring extended to animals as well, especially the feral cats she nurtured with tender devotion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Cat Program at Indy.gov in honor of Lynda’s enduring love for animals.
May her memory bring warmth and comfort to all who knew and loved her.
