Louis Scott Raymond, 59, of Plainfield, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday June 3, 2026 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Scott’s life journey was shaped by the love of his life, wife Margo, the gift of his “Awesome” sons Kellar Raymond and Maxwell Raymond, the lived and loving examples of his parents Louis and Sonya Raymond, and the caring sibling bond of his sister, Lori Heille and her husband Chris Heille. Scott is also survived by his loving in-laws Margaret Thomas, Chuck Thomas, Robin Phillips, and Melody Goodman. Man’s Best Dog, Jedi Raymond, also mourns the passing of his best friend. There have been many that have passed on before Scott, and he is reunited with them in Heaven.

From early on in his life, Scott explored adventure in many forms. From BMX racing to cross country road trips, drawing cartoons and exploring the limits of graphic design, to playing guitar and performing street magic to entertain audiences big and small, Scott's personality lit up rooms and hearts. Scott's life touched friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors.

Scott was born in Charlevoix, Michigan to Louis and Sonya Raymond on April 20, 1967. He graduated from Charlevoix High School in 1985 and followed with achieving his Associate of Arts at Northwestern Michigan College. He married Margo (Thomas) Raymond on June 27, 1998 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. On March 6, 2004, twin boys Kellar Dean and Maxwell Scott were born and filled the hearts of Scott and Margo and the hearts of their entire extended families.

Scott's greatest joy was his family. Being a father and a husband filled his heart, and while the adventures were scaled to family-sized aspirations, he never stopped dreaming of sharing new experiences and destinations with those he loved the most. Beaches and palm trees were Scott's happy places, and when schedules and circumstances allowed Scott would make the most of the opportunity for Margo and the boys.

Always ready to make any moment memorable, Scott was always prepared to make you laugh or wonder "how'd he do that" with whatever was on hand. His talent wasn't rooted in his ability to entertain, it was in how he made others feel special in that moment. His ability to create a memory of childlike wonder one-on-one was one of his many special gifts. Those who can claim “ISawScott” live know firsthand how precious those encounters were, and their experiences live on as one of a kind memories in their hearts.

A celebration of Scott's life will be held at Ferry Beach in Charlevoix, Michigan, the afternoon of July 26.
