Loralyn Woods

With a broken heart we announce the passing of Loralyn Kay Woods at the age of 55, in Indianapolis, IN. Lori was born and raised on the east side of Indianapolis. She was a 1987 graduate of Warren Central High School, and went on to IUPUI where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Lori was a lifelong member of Holy Spirit parish, and was an active member of the community all the way up to her untimely passing; whether it be coaching CYO kickball or residing on the parish council, she was always involved. When she was not spending time with her large, beloved family, you could find her watching her Colts/Pacers games, relaxing on the beach in Kiawah Island, or going for long walks with her dog, Jazz. Lori was kind, selfless, and so beautiful; and above all else, she was a Parrothead. She attended more Jimmy Buffet concerts than one could count, and was known to blare the SiriusXM 'Margaritaville' station on just about any occasion.

Lori knew everyone, and everyone knew her. She was loved both widely and deeply, and had a lasting effect on everyone she met. Her kindness, her huge smile, and her infectious laugh will never be replaced. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward McCracken and Patricia McCracken (Kidwell); and her grandmother, Kathryn Irene Kidwell (Sullivan). She is survived by her husband, Scott; her five siblings, Edward McCracken II, Shelley (Paul) McCracken-Rania, Debbie (John) Brewer, Marie (Rob) Castetter, and Patrick (Monica) McCracken; her 3 children Dillon (Jazmin), Madison, and Mackenzie; and her two grandchildren, Valentina and Quentin.

Her service will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 19th. The visitation is from 11AM to 1PM, followed by a Catholic Mass at 1PM and her burial at St. Joseph's/Holy Cross Cemetery at 2:30PM.
