Lois B Boswell

Lois Bearss Boswell passed away on the evening of April 13, 2023 at the age of 99. She was born on December 27, 1923 to Roy and Myrtle Bearss in Toledo, Ohio. She received her bachelor’s degree from DePauw University in 1945 and taught elementary school for several years in Iowa. She was married to Dr. Charles A. Boswell for 62 years and the couple raised 4 children in the Chicago area and Indianapolis. Lois is preceded in death by her husband Charles and is survived by her sons Andy, Rex and Roger, her daughter Sue, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Lois loved her family and home life, and was loved for her kindness, graciousness and dignity.  She especially loved tennis, playing until she was 84 at the Indianapolis Racquet Club.  She was active in the community with the Crossroads Guild, Alpha Gamma Delta Society, Beta Beta Latrian, the Second Presbyterian Church and the Rhein Guild.
