Lloyd Owen Reed

Lloyd Owen Reed of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on February 17, 2024 at the age of 57. He was born on August 23, 1966 in Indianapolis. Owen was a devoted family man with a strong love for learning and teaching, a passion for music and metal concerts, and a wide array of hobbies.

He started his career at UPS in 1988 and dedicated 36 years of service to the company. Owen was known as a committed union member and even served as a union steward during his tenure.

Owen will be deeply missed and is survived by his children: Darci (Chris) Reed of Indianapolis, Sarah Reed of Lafayette; his girlfriend: Ellen Morse; his nieces and nephews: Kristyna (Will) Miller of London, KY, John (Alex) Jacquet of Frankfort, Andrew Jacquet of Forest, and Gill Reed of Frankfort; his step-mother: Fran Reed of Indianapolis; his uncle: Fred (Gloria) Hagemeier of Indianapolis; and his cousin Kenneth Hagemeier.

He was preceded in death by his brother Andrew Reed and his parents Richard Reed and Evelyn Webb.

Memorial services for Lloyd Owen Reed will be held on Saturday, February 24th at Indiana Funeral Care (8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250). A visitation will take place from 3pm-5pm, followed by a memorial service at 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the National Motorcycle Safety Fund.
