Lisa Hayes, born on October 14, 1962, in Monticello, Indiana, passed away on June 27, 2025. She was a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a source of light to all who knew her. Lisa's journey through life was marked by her remarkable ability to forge meaningful connections, bringing joy and compassion to everyone around her.

A graduate of Thomas Carr Howe High School in 1981, Lisa dedicated many years of her life to working as an office assistant manager at K-Mart, where she displayed her signature warmth and professionalism. Throughout her career, she also contributed her efforts to the Lady’s Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association, embodying the spirit of service and community.

Lisa was a beacon of positivity, and her smile had the power to illuminate any room. She formed friendships effortlessly, and her love for music and dancing brought an infectious energy to gatherings. Her personality was characterized by an immense compassion and love for her children's friends, treating them like family, and nurturing countless memories filled with laughter. Lisa had a special fondness for her grandchildren, Adah Jo Patterson and Nova Raines Patterson, and reveled in every moment spent with them. Her affection extended beyond her immediate family, as she had a deep love for her husband, James F. Hayes, for whom she married on August 23, 1981 and embraced her role as a wonderful wife and an amazing mom.

Lisa’s interests were varied and included camping and traveling with her family, as well as a passion for animals, particularly her beloved pets, Max and Baby Girl. She was especially fond of cats and Hello Kitty, reflecting her playful and nurturing spirit. Lisa was known for her unwavering support for those around her, always reaching for the stars and offering a helping hand whenever needed.

She is survived by her husband, James F. Hayes; daughter, Jami A. Patterson; son, James Alexander Hayes; granddaughters, Adah Jo Patterson and Nova Raines Patterson; mother, Alberta May Graham-Felix; brothers, William Graham, James Graham, and Tracey Graham; sister, Teresa Graham Whitaker; and brother, Anthony Graham. She is preceded in death by her father, Billy Graham; mother-in-law, Adah M. Hayes; father-in-law, Thomas F. Hayes; brother-in-law, Thomas H. Hayes; and sister-in-law, Nancy E. Clayton.

Lisa's legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Visitation will take place on July 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Indiana Funeral Care - Greenwood Chapel, located at 2433 E. Main St., Greenwood, IN 46143. The burial will occur later that day at Washington Park East Cemetery, located at 10612 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Lisa Hayes touched many lives with her kindness and love, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she cherished.
