Linda Kaye York

Linda K. York, 78, of Indpls, IN passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026 surrounded by family & friends. Born to Wayne & Camille Lykins on February 28, 1948 in Connersville, IN, she spent most of her life in Indpls and was a fixture in her neighborhood for the past 20yrs. Linda excelled as a student and became a dental hygienist as well as being a poet and writer. She loved sports and was an avid Indy 500 fan as well as being a skier, windsurfer, and softball player. Linda lived with a zest for life. She enjoyed gatherings and practical jokes. She was loved by many (humans and animals alike!) 

She is survived by her son David (St. Louis), daughter Stacey (S. Carolina), & dog Spirit; brothers Charlie (Morristown, IN) and Terry (Connersville); granddaughters Desiree (N. Carolina), Alexis (S.C.), Elle & Jade (NY); and her great grandchildren Conner, Mia, Charlie, Sawyer, & Oliver. She was preceded in death by her beloved dog Bumper. A celebration of her life will be planned at a future date.
