Linda Lou “Lynn” (Eller) Cheever

Born on December 31,1946 in Williamsport, IN to Jesse Eller and Wilhelmina (Weisheit) Eller. Passed on October 18,2021 at St Vincent Heart Center.

Lynn was married to Richard L. Cheever for over fifty-two years. She is survived by her husband and their son William Shawn Cheever and fiancé Natasha Hall, daughter Jennifer Leigh Lyle and husband Jerry. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers Lee, Larry, Jean and Marvin and three sisters Betty, Frankie and Kathy. She is also survived by brother Jack Eller, wife Elisabeth of Strawberry Plains, TN, sisters Bonnie Brian of Delphi, IN, Sue Tipton, husband Wayne of Canton, GA, and Patty Eller of Texas. Lynn is also survived by seven grandchildren Becca, Josh and Noah Lyle and Dean, Frank, Joe and Dot Cheever.

Lynn graduated from Attica High School in 1965. She was medical secretary for twenty years for the Kokomo Orthopedic Clinic. At this point in time she went to IUK School of Nursing to receive her Associates Degree and then to Indiana Wesleyan University getting her Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing. Lynn worked many years at St. Vincent Carmel Hospital in various positions including third floor Med Surg, ICU, ER and outpatient surgery. Then she was one of the first to go to the Carmel Ambulatory Center working as a Charge Nurse. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother as well as a faithful friend and companion. She was always there for her friends and family. She loved traveling especially out west to Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon and Utah. She was a passenger for many miles by motorcycle traveling throughout the United States and Canada. She was very active at Grace Church leading a women’s small group and serving as a volunteer for Women’s Life, Grace Kids Camp, and various events as needed. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services will be officiated by Tim Ayers.
