Lillie B. Coffer was born on October 3, 1948, in Lexington, Mississippi, to the late S.D. Coffer and Marie (Peterson) Coffer. From an early age, she carried a warm spirit, a generous heart, and the quiet determination that defined her throughout her life.

Lillie met the love of her life, Roosevelt Sampson Jr. Their bond grew into a devoted marriage on September 26, 1966, in Detroit, Michigan. From this union they built a beautiful family together. They became the proud parents of Kevin, Priscilla, Kimberlyn, and Prysanthum, all of Detroit, MI. Lillie’s children were her greatest joy! Lillie poured her heart into nurturing, guiding, and supporting them.
