Lewis “Tom” Thomas Ford Jr., 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 11, 2026. He was born on March 27, 1944 in Indianapolis to Frances and Lewis Ford Sr. After high school, Tom worked at Allison Transmissions for many years, where he met his wife, Carol. They spent nearly 44 years happily married.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Carol Ford; and son, Lewis (Michelle Bruce) Thomas Ford III.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Lewis Ford Sr.; and siblings, Sue Christie and Mike Ford.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Indiana Funeral Care East.
