Laweena Douglass

March 18, 1964 — September 21, 2022

Tipton

Laweena ‘Miss Weena’ May Douglass (Craib) was a selfless mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a heart of gold and genuinely cared about others. She left this world too soon on Wednesday, September 21st, 2022.

She is survived by her husband, Matt. She was a proud mom to Troy (Nicole) and Nicolas (Clara). She is survived by Becky (Tim) Stanley, Roxanne (Andy) Keller, Basil (Carla) Stanley and multiple great-nieces and nephews. She loved her Aunts; Connie and Sue. Laweena adored her 5 grandchildren: Troy Jr. Alex, Aidan, Ellie, and Callie.

She was preceded in death by her parents Basil and Orpha Craib; mom, Peggy Burgess; brother, Tyke and nephew Timmy.

Anyone who knew ‘Aunt Ween’ or ‘Miss Weena’ knew she loved caring for others and bringing a smile to others. She taught at Pebble Brook Preschool for 27.5 years.  We think….honestly, we have lost count! She will be tremendously missed by her five grandchildren, with whom she spent countless hours cheering on at various sporting events, watching movies, and nannying! She was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan and took pride in taunting the Steelers fans in the house. She spent endless amounts of hours capturing and organizing her photo collection, creating floral arrangements and craft projects, and adding to her beloved Panda collection. Last, but not least Laweena was a loyal soap opera connoisseur!
